A big thankyou to the adorable sophia from tictactomato who tagged me for this award a while back. apologies for being such a sham and only getting around to it now. so here are my seven (un)interesting things about myself:

one- i have been a vegetarian for around nine years now and i can't imagine ever eating meat again. for the record, the choice was based upon not really liking the taste of meat and a belief that if i don't have to kill something in order to survive then i would prefer not to do so.

two- i have studied classical singing up to grade 8 and it is one of my favourite things in the world to do. but i hate actually singing classical music in front of people cos i get so self-conscious/it's quite personal for me.

three- i don't watch tv.

four- this week i am constantly listening to/shouting these three songs: titus andronicus-titus andronicus, volcano!-africa just wants to have fun and future of the left-arming eritrea.

five- my three lifelong obsessions are the moon, zombies and unicorns. two of those things are not real. that probably says a lot about my mind.

six- i am allergic to my cat's nose. it makes me come out in a rash. the rest of her is fine though...it's just her nose.

seven- on wednesday i am going to belgium for pukkelpop festival and i literally cannot wait. this is my third year in a row attending and between the line-up and the group of friends we have going, i know it is going to be the best yet!!

Why I Love Blogging:
eek...i love it for so many reasons. it is an amazing way to encounter people who have the same or completely different tastes and lifeviews from me, which is something i enjoy. i've only had this blog a few months and already i have met some of the coolest girls (and guys) ever to share ideas and even disagreements with. i love reading blogs on subjects i don't necessarily agree on because i just love people who are passionate about what they are saying full stop. generally it's just nice to have an outlet that means i can pour out my pointless views on clothes, life and the universe in general and feel like i'm not just boring my friends to tears, hah. aaand i love the fact that it allows me to organise my otherwise complete scatterbrain thoughts as well as acting as a kind of online scrapbook about how my tastes and even my life have changed and developed. hah, whatever the reason, it is clear to see now that i am pretty much hooked!! also, i apologise for the slightly rambly sense of this post...my mother and i may have had a touch too much vino this evening.

anywaaay...i would now like to tag EVERYONE!! all the blogs i have in my sidebar are there for a reason, because i love reading them and think they are fantastic so i would like to know why you all blog too!! hopefully you'll be slightly more coherent than i was!!

i'm heading back to belfast tomorrow night for a night out with my spanish friend cristina who is visiting and an exciting semi-secret party/club thing on saturday...so hopefull i will have lots to fill you in on post-weekend. aaand my mum has invited two of my best friends (poor english souls) to share in easter festivities with us...so needless to say i am beyond looking forward to this, my last weekend at home until summerrr!! :/ how crazy!!

okay so i got tagged aaand awarded by the lovely sophia of tictactomato to do the show your heart tag and the questions tag. however...at the moment my camera is powerless and i am using my dad's laptop so for now i can only really do the questions tag. hopefully i will be able to post the other tag and maybe some exciting ireland pctures sooooon.

What is your current obsession? baking!! i am going to bake easter cookies with my sister soon and i have a million other ideas of things i want to bake.
What are you wearing right now? a huuuge red plaid shirt stolen from my friend jay with a bow at the neck, wooly tights and my falling apart studded booties.
Who was the last person you hugged? i hugged my daddy goodnight a minute ago.
If you were a tree, what tree would you be? at this precise moment in time, either a cherry blossom tree or a weeping willow. don't ask me why for either cos i have no clue. :]
What’s for dinner? tomorrow=my mum's veggie lasagne and i cannot wait!!
What was the last thing you bought? a bus ticket home.
What are you listening to right now? animals by cocorosie.
What is your favourite weather? crisp, cold but DRY autumn mornings or evenings make my life!!
What’s on your beside table? some jewellery boxes, a lava lamp, a bombay sapphire lamp, old bottles with candles in them, alarm clock, glass of water and many books, graphic novels and cds...i ought to tidy. :/

A book you're currently reading? i've been rereading the bell jar as i didn't bring enough books to spain with me. also the second volume of top ten (i tend to always have a novel and a graphoc novel on the go at the same time, oops). and at the weekend i read howl, ashamedly for the first time ever and i am now in awe.
What would you like to have in your hands right now? the ability to handle all the things i am currently a shamm with much more successfully!!
What is your favourite tea flavour? too hard it depends on mood...regular, green, chamomile, peppermint...i just love tea in general!!
What did you eat for breakfast? banana on toast VERY quickly cos i overslept and was late for a dentist appointment. :/
What did you want to become as a child? a singer, a clothing designer or an aeronautical engineer like my dad...lawl!!
What is your fantasy? to be well travelled, well informed, content in a house filled with charmingly tacky things...and to be really understood, even if only for one small moment in my eentire lifetime.

okaaaaay...before i provide a little update post i have excitement to share.  the lovely lauren over at lauh-ren's odd blog has been nice enough to tag me for this little award (i'm very excited and don't at all feel deserving...can you tell it's my first??hee):i think i'm meant to pass it on to eight people but, truth be told, being kinda new to this thing means that i don't have a full eight bloggers that would actually carry on the tag??  nonetheless, i hope this list will suffice:
